I know it's going to be a LONG wait but hopefully I'll get sucked into my uni work so much that I forget to check my track ^_^ if that's possible!
Anyways now that my application is gone , I feel good, somewhat excited!
I applied for:
Queen Mary university
Kings college university
Birmingham university
I was initially going to only apply to queen Mary & Kings but I decided to add Birmingham since it never had a entrance test, to be honest I didn't even check their requirements because I don't plan to go there.
I'll keep you guys posted. Next post will definitely be about 3rd year modules & deadlines!
Just remembered this and felt like dropping by to see how things are going now that we're somewhat deep into the application process :)

Hi! As expected got unsuccessful for kings(probably coz of UKCAT) and Birmingham (the graduate for bham is for graduates not 3rd years) so now I'm only waiting for Queen Mary and I think I know the answer from them too aha - I'll be working super hard on UKCAT this time round hopefully! - how's it going for you? Where did you end up applying ? Any replies? - thank you and good luck to you too :-) - you also got a 1st prediction?

I have 2 interviews so far (Warwick and St Georges), waiting on notts and I think Sheffield rejected me as they sent interviews last week... I got 2:1 prediction, my tutor is so strict >.<

Ah strict tutors! At least you got interviews !! That's amazing! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So happy for you! Guess what! I just got my last rejection today from queen Mary! They said I didn't meet the entry requirements - I'll be calling them up tomorrow hopefully to find out exactly what it is so I can improve on it next year! Inshallah! I need a little advise and help from you :-) - my personal statement is so CRAP!!! That's another aspect of my personal statement I want to improve on - any tips ?
DeleteThanks!! Aw noooooooo, I am guessing that would be your UKCAT :( I guess the biggest positive is that you have it all in black and white now and your mind is clear to know what you have to do :)
DeleteI would be happy to help you out if you need it just ask! Although don't be fooled I'm nothing special, I highly doubt I did anything differently than you apart from put more hours into UKCAT and actually sat the GAMSAT :D
From the top of my head... Don't say anything that could be interpreted negatively, make sure everything is relevant and try to tie it in to how it makes you a good doctor... instead of talking about what you witnessed, talk about how it affected you etc...
